Is there really a means to connect a doctor or a nurse’s outfit to what the patient would feel? As far as I know, no experiment has been conducted to verify that. Of course, it’s obvious that knowing the answer to that question is not the priority of our scientists. Even if I had the resources to support such study, I would rather contribute that money to more important studies like finding the cure for cancer or AIDS or both.

My outlook on this is that it all depends on the patient. Say, if I’m in the hospital and I happen to like reggae and all that Rasta stuff, I’d be feeling good if the nurse tending me would be wearing the green, red, and gold threads of the Rasta nation. The same thing for a person who happens to despise the color purple; I don’t think she’d be that upbeat if the doctor would come into the room clad in purple lab coats.

While it could certainly affect a person’s mood, the color of a nurse or a doctor’s scrubs will have negligible effect on how the patient will recover. You can not expect a person to get well easily just because he or she is being attended to by a nurse wearing Landau scrubs in his or her favorite color. It just doesn’t work that way.

In conclusion, I think that medical professionals are old enough to pick the right scrubs or lab coats for them. So lucky are nurses and doctors, who are allowed to wear any design or color of scrubs they want, because they can easily find different styles of Landau scrubs online.

While a serious or deeper-than-normal abrasion needs to be cleaned and treated by a physician, mild scraping of skin can be easily handled by oneself. Cleaning an abrasion is the foremost step towards avoiding infection and speeding up healing. Any dirt or debris needs to be carefully removed. You may use water or any antiseptic solution to do the same. If required you can use a piece of clean gauze to gently scrub the area clean thoroughly. Dress the wound using sterile gauze, cotton and an antibiotic cream or powder. This dressing needs to be changed often, daily at least to quicken the healing process.
